what happened in roughly 1870 though
why was there temporary internet
with a few people searching for pokemon?

It’s a search of Google books, but the question still stands, what the Fuck happened in 1870

I CAN ANSWER THIS!!
In the Cornish dialect of English, Pokemon meant ‘clumsy’ (pure coincidence).
In the mid 1800s there was a surge of writing about the Cornish language and dialect in an attempt to preserve them with glossaries and dictionaries being written. I wrote about it HERE.

I just love that this post happened to find the ONE HUMAN ON THE INTERNET who had the answer to this question

Text 20 Aug

I was skeptical of the ALS ice bucket challenge. That said, from july 29th to august 11th ALS Association raised $5.5 million. That’s 171 times the amount raised during that time last year.

There is worry that people would rather dump cold water on their heads and have a video to upload, but i’ll take a little vanity in exchange for awareness.

Steve Blum is one who indulged in the promotion as well as taking the time to explain ALS.

Barack Obama declined to throw an ice bucket over him and instead donated a $100.

I’m not going to throw an ice bucket over my head, the movement has enough publicity and we are aware. I’m also a poor just-out-of-college guy looking for work so I can’t donate $100. Instead, I am going to use http://www.goodsearch.com/and make ALS Association my charity for at least the next two months. Roughly, a cent per search made is donated to a charity of your choice.

My challenge is to anyone who has done the ice bucket challenge and couldn’t donate. I challenge you to break from google for at least 1 week and use goodsearch.
